About the Firm

Compassionate, Quality, Cost-Effective Counsel.

This is the mission statement of Lionheart Legal and what differentiates us from our competition.  Being a small firm in combination with the firm’s exclusive focus on estate planning, trust and estate litigation, probate, and conservatorships, allows our team to provide the high quality legal work and individual attention every client wants and should expect, at a reasonable rate.

Prior to and after founding Lionheart Legal, attorney Dilair Nafoosi consistently noticed that his most satisfied clients were those who had negative experiences with legal representation in the past, seeking his services as a result of their dissatisfaction with other lawyers.  Mr. Nafoosi simply took the time to fully understand those clients, their goals, and the best legal strategies to achieve those goals while simultaneously keeping the client informed, being responsive, and fully focusing on the work necessary to achieve client goals.
 –
Mr. Nafoosi’s philosophy of putting the needs of his clients first and foremost is the driving force behind Lionheart Legal.  This approach is infused in the firm’s culture at all levels and applies to all matters our clients’ entrust us with – big and small.
 –
Lionheart Legal exclusively practices law in the fields of Estate Planning, Conservatorships, Probate, and Trust & Estate Litigation.  Although there are often “cross-over” legal issues involved in the more complex matters of this type, all of Lionheart Legal’s practice areas are primarily governed by the California Probate Code.  The California Probate Code focuses on setting up the rules and regulations that apply to fiduciaries.  A “fiduciary” has been defined as “an individual in whom another has placed the utmost trust and confidence to manage and protect property or money.  The relationship wherein one person has an obligation to act for another’s benefit.”
 –
There are several types of fiduciaries – conservators, guardians, executors, trustees, attorneys-in-fact for healthcare, attorneys-in-fact for finances, accountants, physicians – these are all people who have to primarily put the interests of others ahead of their own interests.
 –
Attorneys too are fiduciaries when it comes to their clients and should put their client’s interests ahead of their own.  When seeking legal representation as a fiduciary, your counsel should truly understand, not only the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law.  Lionheart Legal is founded on a principle that mirrors the standard governing fiduciaries – serving others – and puts that principle into practice for our clients.
